EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing)
This is an effective method used for clients who have symptoms of trauma or associated disorders such as anxiety, panic, phobias, depression or obsessive behaviour. This method is recommended for both adults and children. The NICE ( National Institute for Clinical Excellence) recommends EMDR as an effective treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. There has also been extensive research carried out on this method.

Playtherapy and Sandplay
Helping children to work through their emotional fears and distress through the medium of play.
CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy)
This is recognised as an effective method of treatment for challenging and reframing negative belief patterns that cause inhibitions to a person's daily function. CBT can also be used integratively with EMDR.
For couples experiencing difficulties within their relationship or who have both experienced a difficult life event.
"Keeping the children in mind" is a 6 week course for couples separating/divorcing who have children.
This may be for one or all family members, finding a resolution to family disharmony. Working with the method of systemic family practice, each member is viewed as an equal individual within a family system.
